Abstract:

In this presentation with the help of several dozen slides the psychology & history of sex (normal, abnormal & perverted) is explored. Subject of nudity and sexuality from ancient time to present is discussed through pictorial power points.

Learning Points:

At the end of this educational activity, its participants will be able to:

1) discuss the hormonal and psychological aspects of sexuality in males and females;

2) analyze sexual perversion, such as zoophilia, fetishism, and pedophilia; 

3) analyze the historical aspects of nudity and sexuality in European, Japanese and Indian cultures;

4) examine children's sexuality; 

5) discuss the history of pornography and sexual dysfunction in human beings. 

Bio of the Presenter:

Jamshid Marvasti, M.D. (jmarvasti@aol.com) is a psychiatrist with 40 years experience, practicing in Manchester, CT. He has edited a series of psychiatric books including on treating victims and survivors of sexual trauma, treating sexual offenders, war trauma in veterans and their families, and psycho-political aspects of suicide bombers, terrorism, and martyrdom.
