Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Queens Library @ Forest Hills, located at 108-19 71 Avenue, 11375 which is conveniently near the Continental Avenue subway station for E, F, M, and R trains.
Dolores will be reading from her memoir and discussing her family's experience growing up with a father afflicted with manic-depressive illness. Following her presentation, there will be discussion focused on current trends in bi-polar treatment practices by two mental health care professionals:
-- Alison Gilbert, PhD, Clinical Director; Center for Treatment and Research of Bipolar Disorder; The Zucker Hillside Hospital
-- Raphael J. Braga, M.D. Psychiatrist, Dept. of Psychiatry; The Zucker Hillside Hospital
An open Q&A period and book signing will close out the 90 minute program.
