Fellowship in Object Relations Approach
to Clinical Work and Psychoanalytic Research
The Object Relations Institute offers a self-structured Fellowship in Object Relations Approach to Clinical Work and Psychoanalytic Research to introduce clinicians to the Object Relations approach in their psychoanalytic, psychotherapeutic, medical, counseling, and any other work. Traditional classes are structured in 10-week courses held on Thursday evenings, but at times, they are held on the weekends. Each fellow can check the Calendar of Events and register for his/her desired courses.
Each fellow is also assigned a mentor who is a member of the ORI’s faculty and who meets with the fellow on an individualized basis, and who advises on the fellow’s work and research interests.
Credit for the courses taken by the ORI fellows in any academic year can be applied to any of the Certificate Programs offered at ORI.
Since the Fellowship is self-structured, completion of the fellowship is determined by each individual fellow, in agreement with the assigned mentor. It is our aim to provide the fellows with an open-minded collaborative place of scholarship, which would provide a possibility for each fellow to complete their research on a specific subject of interest (e.g., trauma studies, personality disorders, neuropsychoanalysis, mutual analysis, self-analysis, psychobiography, etc., etc.) and to present it to their peers and/or to publish.
