One Year Certificate Program: Introduction to the Object Relations Theory & Clinical Technique

(Currently offered Virtually-Live ONLY)

Program Overview

The One-Year Certificate Program provides a structured introduction to the Object Relations theory and its clinical applications.
 It consists of three 10-week trimesters, each including:

  • Clinical Theory course (offered on Thursdays at 8:40pm – 9:55pm ET)
  • Group Supervision “Analyst as Instrument” course (offered on Thursdays at 7:15pm – 8:30pm ET)

Each of the above courses grants 12.5 hours of post-graduate psychoanalytic training. In total, after the completion of the One-Year Program, the students are granted 75 academic hours. These credits can eventually be applied towards the Two-Year Program or the Full Psychoanalytic Certificate Program.

Program Duration

  • Total duration: 1 academic year (October – June)
  • Structure: 3 trimesters: Fall (October – December), Winter (January – March), and Spring (April – June)
  • Format: Virtual Live: Lectures, Readings, Discussions. The Group Supervision course includes presentation of clinical cases and the role-play method of processing the material.

Tuition and Fees

  • $450 per clinical theory course (per trimester)
  • $450 per group supervision course (per trimester)
  • Total tuition: $2,700 for the full year (3 trimesters)
  • Payment options: Tuition payments are made during the registration process. After filling out the application and paying the one-time application fee of $100, the students can proceed to registration for each course of the upcoming trimester.
