This cutting-edge seminar is Part II of "Dances of Intimacy". We will explore the myriad ways the analyst makes use of "self-experience", for example, to understand -- and intervene -- in couple and family treatment. In terms of therapeutic action: How (and when) can transference, countertransference, dissociation and enactment processes make a difference? Are they "healthy" or "pathological"? Theory and clinical application will be used to investigate meaningful inter-subjective experience.
Clinical vignettes as well as literature and art will highlight the discussion. Opportunities for participants to ask questions and share ideas will be welcomed. This will be a didactic and participatory event for all members!
