Starting in 2014-2015 academic year, ORI offers partial and full-time scholarships, to commemorate late Dr. Joyce McDougal and Dr. Jeffrey Seinfeld and to continue their legacy of deep object relations psychoanalytic thinking and education. These scholarships will allow young mental health practitioners in need to continue their education in psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, and object relations clinical theory and technique.
If you would like to contribute to this scholarship fund, your contribution will be tax-deductible. You will be then involved in the selection process and will receive reports on the candidate's progress.
For more information and to apply or/and to propose a candidate for the memorial scholarship consideration, please contact Dr. Inna Rozentsvit, ORI's administrator and Community Outreach Coordinator at 646-522-1056 or via email at Admin@ORINYC.org.
Choose the program you'd like to attend (One-year Intro; Two-year Advanced; and Four-year Full training, Parent-Child Development program, etc.), and send your application in.
Write a letter to the scholarship committee re: why your application should be considered (which will include why you would like to get the extra training, how it might help your work, etc., as well as what your financial status is and what kind of help you need, since you will be not the only one applying for help).
Your letter can be send as an email attachment (addressed to the ORI Scholarship Committee) to admin@orinyc.org or it can be sent by mail to: ORI administrator/ Dr. Inna Rozentsvit, 75-15 187 Street, Fresh Meadows, NY, 11366-1725.
After your application is processed and your letter/ essay is discussed among the Board members, they will decide what kind of help will be possible to provide for you for the next academic year. Your request will be considered in September, before the next academic year starts.
Paper selection will be finished by March 31st, 2018, and selected paper(s) will be published in the MindConsiliums.
The authors will be given the opportunity to present the selected paper(s) at the Annual Dr. Jeffrey Seinfeld Memorial Lecture/Workshop in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years.
