SEMINAR DESCRIPTION:

Transform Your Understanding of Child Development

Join us for a comprehensive 3-hour seminar exploring the groundbreaking insights of Ronald Fairbairn’s object relations theory — knowledge that often goes unexplored in traditional approaches to child development and family dynamics — and its crucial applications in understanding and preventing childhood developmental trauma.

This interactive illuminating seminar is designed for mental health professionals, educators, parents, parent coaches, and anyone working with children and families.

Clinical Significance & Preventive Applications

This seminar provides essential theoretical knowledge and practical tools for both clinical practice and preventive intervention in child’s development. It bridges critical gaps in traditional approaches to child development by examining:

  • The profound impact of early attachment and dependency patterns on personality formation
  • Recognition of subtle developmental disruptions before they become entrenched
  • Understanding dissociation as a primary defense mechanism in early childhood
  • The clinical significance of sub-selves (split-ego states) in personality development
  • Evidence-based interventions for supporting healthy differentiation
  • Preventive strategies that can be implemented in both clinical and home settings

Core Theoretical Framework

Dr. Celani will present key elements of Fairbairn’s revolutionary theory, including:

  • The enduring influence of early object relations on personality development
  • How children’s extreme dependency shapes their perception of reality
  • The process of differentiation and its crucial role in healthy development
  • The integration of “good” and “bad” object relations
  • Understanding how early dissociated traumatic events create isolated sub-selves in the child’s unconscious

Interactive Learning Experience

This advanced seminar combines:

  • In-depth theoretical presentation
  • Clinical case examples
  • Practical application discussions
  • Interactive Q&A sessions
  • Real-world intervention strategies
